Jack
Coronella began painting 16 years ago. Jack’s long interest in photography
wanted to go further into painting with watercolor, acrylic and then
oil. He is also a retired IT
consultant and focuses mostly on oil painting. “It’s about capturing the
unique light and color that exists for only a moment”. He enjoys painting
cityscapes the most. He grew up in Boston and enjoys the intensity of the
city. He likes capturing color and light at night found around the city with
its dark settings, natural evening, or twilight settings.
The
self-taught painter learned methods and techniques from local artists, art
technique literature and art exhibits. He enjoys participating in art
exhibits at local venues such as Fornax Bakery in Roslindale, art association
galleries and currently the FP3 Gallery in Boston.
He is a
member of the Rockport Art Association & Museum, Marblehead Arts
Association, and the North Shore Arts Association.
